Your Role

The Compliance and Ethics Investigations team performs Code of Conflict investigations. The Compliance and Ethics Program Specialist, Consultant will report to the Sr. Manager, Compliance and Ethics. In this role you will primarily investigate Code of Compliance investigations for Blue Shield of California along with other duties assigned. Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Requires 7 years of experience in compliance, ethics, internal audit, workplace investigations, risk management, or other investigative type of role
  • Requires experience in implementing or facilitating corrective actions or risk mitigation activities
  • Requires two years' worth of experience in investigation and employee interview techniques
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to compliance programs
  • Experience supporting the investigation and management of Compliance and Ethics related incidents
  • Extensive experience in compliance and ethics program, audit, investigation and employee training development experience
  • Strong understanding of project management principles
  • Ability to independently and self-sufficiently perform job function with minimal supervision and direction
  • Strong verbal, written and oral communication skills. Strong ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including management, workforce members, regulators, customers, partners and vendors
  • Strong ability to synthesize vast amounts of complex data, and clearly and concisely articulate the relevant points
  • Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), HealthCare Compliance Association (HCA) or similar certification or willingness to obtain certification within one year preferred

Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $109,120.00 to $163,680.00 for California.

Note: Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
