Early Learning Coach Assistant - Part time
Job Description
The Early Learning Coach Support will work alongside the Early Learning Coach to implement all Play and Learn GRCC programming. They will develop materials, implement programing and engage families in activities that support children’s healthy growth and development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work collaboratively with the Early Learning Coaches to implement program services including Playgroups, Walks and Play and Learn bag distributions.
- Develop materials for program services including literacy handouts, scaffolded activity instructions, and videos demonstrating implementation of monthly activities.
- Engage with families to complete the ASQ developmental screen
- Order, maintain and organize supplies and materials to implement Play and Learn services
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all community partners
- Work with GRCC to provide all aspects of program evaluation including 2X/year family survey.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings, program planning meetings, and staff training.
- Reflect regularly on all aspects of the Play and Learn GRCC program and make suggestions for program improvement.
- Promote teamwork and good communication among all Play and Learn GRCC staff and all personnel from partner agencies.
- Support the mission, vision, values and key strategies of GRCC.
- Participate in goal setting and evaluation requirements as staff of GRCC.
- Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned by GRCC.
- Follow College policy on the Family Educational Right to Privacy Act (FERPA).
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/ Child Development
- Three years’ experience in working with young children Birth to 5 years
- Experience working with children and families with diverse backgrounds; bilingual given preference
- Ability and aptitude to establish relationships with Play and Learn GRCC staff and partner agencies
- Experience with special needs learners is a benefit
- Complete Infant-Child CPR/Frist Aid

Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to bend and lift and/or move 25 pounds.
- Employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

Working Conditions
- Ability to travel within the community to assigned work sites which may not be barrier free.
- Moderate level of noise at Play and Learn Groups.
- Occasional work outside of normal business hours.
- Ability to work both indoor and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check

- Must be able to work flexible hours (i.e. evenings and night) including occasional weekends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that calls for flexibility/adaptability and the ability to handle multiple interruptions and make quick decisions.
