Seattle Central College is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant 3 in Student Development.
Salary Range for this position is $43,812 to $56,916 annually (depending on experience).

As an Office Administrator, you will be responsible for being a key member of the team that works together in order to serve students. In this role, you will provide higher-level, direct administrative and confidential support to our department.
Student Development supports student engagement through learning experience that extends beyond the classroom. It serves to help students increase awareness and participation in cocurricular activities that support and complement their learning.
This position is temporary non-permanent and is funded through 8/3/2025, with the possibility of an extension.

What you will be working on:
- Assists Dean in implementing campus policies, procedures, and practices.
- Participates in strategic and quality planning process and in the development of division, department, and program priorities.
- Coordinates the Dean's calendar, screens calls and visitors; represents dean at meetings when necessary; makes travel arrangements; screens prioritizes, and distributes mail.
- Assists Dean with the Student Complaint Process tracking cases and correspondence, scheduling meetings and conferences.
- Serves on the Student & Activities and UTF committees with the Dean in order to allocate annual funding requests. Schedules the committee, takes and distributes minutes for the academic year. Provides insight and knowledge concerning past budgets and current requests. Creates, monitors and develops budget estimates and reports submitted to the president and board of trustees.
- Monitors all Student & Activities and UTF budgets and informs Dean of their status.
- Directs the front office operations (Office Management) securing front office coverage, staffing (hiring, training, supervising, and evaluations) and assignment of job duties. Organizing office space, modifying workflow processes for efficiency. Supervises the front office full-time and hourly staff including delegating responsibilities.
- Is the designated department credit card holder, keeps log, monitors visa charges, reconciles online statements, and reallocates charges to appropriate areas.

What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)
- High school graduate or GED
- 3 or more years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work; formal education will substitute year-for-year experience.
- Demonstrated ability to offer culturally responsive service in a diverse and multicultural environment
- Demonstrated customer services skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and speech
- Demonstrated budget development and oversight experience
- Demonstrated experience with record keeping, information management, and report writing
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations
