Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. Instructor, Cardiovascular Interventional Technology
Full Time Probationary Fall 2025 HV-FAC-121124
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in an allied health field or other discipline relevant to the program; possess a credential in the field of cardiovascular intervention by the ARRT, RCIS (or national equivalent); have a minimum total of five years of experience in the field, either as a practicing technologist or as an instructor in CVT, or a combination of both, within the past ten years; experience in curriculum and/or program development; post-secondary teaching experience in cardiovascular intervention or related discipline; and familiarity with student academic advisement at a post-secondary institution.
The preferred applicant will possess experience with accreditation; experience in distance learning delivery; and experience with program assessment practices.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: The full-time Instructor – Cardiovascular Interventional Technology reports to the Department Chairperson of Medical Imaging and performs the following duties:
- Must maintain current knowledge of professional specialty and educational methodology through continuing professional development.
- Will formulate and adhere to program entrance requirements.
- Collaborate with the college admissions office for the acceptance of students in the program.
- Develop course outlines according to the college policy which incorporate the content specified by the ASRT.
- Provide academic advisements for students enrolled.
- Assigned students to clinical rotations.
- Evaluate clinical education effectiveness through regular site visits to clinical education centers and student competency assessments.
- Instruct courses associated with the program in accordance to college policies.
- Facilitate/attend annual Advisory Board and clinical educators meetings.
- Research potential clinical education sites.
- Maintain programmatic outcomes and assessment data.
The Salary for this academic year position is $52,000.00.
