Job Description
This job is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA-exempt position in the General Education Division that reports to the Program Director of History / Political Science. This position will report to the Lawrenceville campus.
Salary: Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum based on contact hours taught.
Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 10317):
Doctorate or Master's degree in discipline (History) OR Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in discipline (History).
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the minimum qualifications, Postsecondary teaching experience.
Job Description Summary:
Prepares and delivers instruction in a classroom environment. The adjunct faculty position requires availability to teach on-campus classes as scheduled. Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for general core courses. Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Consistent communication with students regularly. Administers Learning Management System (Blackboard Ultra) and any 3rd party software platforms as required. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts. Candidates must be able to provide in-person instruction at our Lawrenceville and/or Alpharetta locations on assigned days and times.

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
