POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Regional Sales Manager reports to the Vice President - Territory Sales Southwest
- Located in San Diego or Irvine CA.
- Full-Time
- Hybrid
The Sales Manager is a dynamic leader responsible for driving sales growth and managing a high-performing sales team. This role involves developing strategic initiatives, fostering client relationships, and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and organizational objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development to team members.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with overall business goals.
- Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and recommend adjustments to sales strategies.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with the team to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Sales Performance Evaluation:
- Evaluate individual and team performance against set targets and key performance indicators.
- Implement corrective measures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Sales Forecasting and Budgeting:
- Lead the development of sales forecasts and budgets.
- Monitor actual performance against forecasts and take corrective action as needed.
New Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments.
- Collaborate with the sales team to expand the customer base and increase market share.
Sales Process Optimization:
- Implement and enhance effective sales processes and workflows.
- Identify areas for process improvement to increase efficiency and productivity.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Analyze competitor strategies and recommend adjustments to maintain a competitive edge.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to align strategies.
- Ensure seamless communication and cooperation between sales and other functions.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, trends, and forecasts.
- Utilize data analysis to derive actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
COMPETENCIES:
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a high-performing sales team.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Analytical skills to assess and enhance sales performance.
- Proactive in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams for overall success.

- Implement and enhance effective sales processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- 6 - 8 years of progressive experience in sales management, preferably in a similar industry, or equivalent military or practical experience.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.
In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
