Title : TRIO Retention and Transfer Advisor
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level:Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Administrators Unit. This position is classified as a Level III and budgeted for a salary of $51,677.73.
Responsibilities:CMCC seeks a full-time TRIO Academic and Transfer Advisor for its Student Support Services program for work in its Classic and STEM grants. This grant-funded position is responsible for tracking student success and informing the Director of student persistence concerns and recommending strategies. The TRIO Academic and Transfer Advisor develops and delivers programs and services intended to improve retention and graduation rates. This position assists participants with academic advising, financial aid information and application completion, transfer college admission information and application completion.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree counseling, education, or a related field; with 3 or more years experience with direct student support services
- Experience in academic support activities and academic advising.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Masters Degree in counseling, education or related field.
- Bilingual or multilingual
- Experience providing comparable services to those in at-risk populations.
