Family Health Centers of San Diego is looking for a Dietary Aide, PACE to work under supervision and guidance of Registered Dietitian, prepare and distribute meals for PACE Participants. Closely follow assigned recipes. Ensure food stocks are full in determining need to be replaced.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in helping prepare meals in consultation with the Registered Dietitian.
- Serve meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
- Assist Registered Dietitian with menu planning, and ensuring all special diets ordered are served to the appropriate PACE Participant.
- Follow recipes, prepare and cook food in a clean and sanitary manner.
- Ensure established meal plans are prepared in line with Registered Dietitian instructions.
- As directed, take note of food allergies and prepare food in line with Participants' needs.
- Assist Registered Dietitian in interviewing patients to ensure personalized dietary needs are met.
- Record meals served accurately, and monitor food temperatures.
- Set up meal trays, food carts, etc., and distribute trays prepared to PACE Participants.
- Set up and take down dining areas to ensure distribution and collection of plates, glasses, etc.
- Collect and clean trays, wipe kitchen surfaces and sanitize as necessary.
- Properly dispose of food waste, and ensure plates and utensils are not contaminated.
- Assist Registered Dietitian to ensure all the necessary ingredients are in stock, and keep track of what is in the kitchen and what needs to be replenished.
- Ensure all food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent GED Certificate required.
- Food Handler's permit required.
- Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No more than 2 violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 7 years.
- 1-2 years of experience in the role of Dietary Aide, or assisting in food preparation and distribution of meals to designated patients or participants preferably with the older adult population.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

$17.00 - $17.00If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
