Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
- Provide onsite and virtual technical support to the Faculty, Staff, and Students to include; all AV (Audio Visual) systems; proactively monitor technical aspects of classroom and computer lab activity and WEPA printing.
- Provide incident management (ticket system) which includes accurate and timely processing of incidents, problems, inquiries, change, and service requests; provide technical support and setup of special events held at College Park.
- Support of faculty, staff, and students on-site.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be current University of Maryland Undergraduate or Graduate student.
- 3 – 5 years of technical related experience.
- Knowledge and experience with laptop/desktop connectivity and interfacing.
- Ability to support, identify, and troubleshoot general problems with IT/AV hardware.
- Knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, web browsers, productivity applications (MS Office), and Active Directory.
- A general understanding of networks, authentication, application packaging, and imaging.
- Knowledge of web conferencing applications such as Zoom, WebEx, and Google Meets.
- Must possess positive attitude, willingness to learn and proactively seek continuous quality improvement of services.
- Ability to navigate and engage multiple stakeholders to obtain optimal customer service results.
- Ability to work with deans, University and visiting faculty, students, and staff.
- Excellent communication skills.
