M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic II Special Equipment/Planned Maintenance System (SE/PMS) Power Plants Coordinator who will oversee and manage the maintenance of aircraft systems, including structure, avionics, landing gear, engines, rotor systems and more. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Perform repairs and rebuilds on critical aircraft systems including structure, engines, rotor systems, and avionics. * Inspect and repair malfunctioning components such as engines, turbines, landing gear, and flight controls. * Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including 175-hour phase, and periodic inspections, and assess engines and components for damage, cracks, or corrosion. * Perform tasks such as gearbox flushing, greasing moving parts, and preventing corrosion. * Oversee SE/PMS inspections, ensuring timely completion and proper documentation. * Make accurate SE/PMS log book entries, identifying and rectifying any errors. * Manage scheduling for inspections, ensuring readiness for Navy Quality Assurance (QA) and MPA/AMI inspections. * Manage a team of mechanics, to ensure efficient and on-time completion of tasks. * Approve time cards for employees and ensure adequate staffing to meet the demands of maintenance schedules. * Coordinate with squadron leadership, supply work centers, and other departments for SE/PMS related tasks. * Assist in preparing for QA inspections, ensuring compliance with US Navy and M1 standards. * Interpret and apply technical manuals, service bulletins, and NAVY instructions (CNAFINST 4790.2) to ensure the effective repair and maintenance of aircraft. * Specialize in specific maintenance areas (e.g., engines, airframes, electrical, armament) while handling SE/PMS tasks as needed. * Ensure safety procedures are followed during all maintenance activities. * Participate in programs such as Foreign Object Damage (FOD), HAZMAT handling, and gas-free aviation if required. * Comply with all environmental, safety, and quality requirements as per M1 and US Navy regulations. * Housekeeping of all work areas, including shops. * Complete all required training and certifications. * Perform other duties as required by management. Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent. * At least five (5) years of recent experience in aircraft maintenance, including 5 years specializing in SE/PMS programs and inspections (MPA or AMI). * At least three (3) years of experience on MPA or AMI inspection teams specializing in the SE/PMS program preferred. * Prior experience with US Naval aircraft maintenance operations highly preferred. * Ability to interpret technical instructions ad manuals, particularly in CNAFINST 4790.2 and local work site instructions. * Experience in managing and coordinating maintenance teams and work schedules. * Proficiency with computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, NALCOMIS/OOMA) and technical data interpretation, * Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC). * Required to have a favorably adjudicated Tier-3 Background Investigation (Non-Critical Sensitive/IT-II). * Must have a valid state driver's license. * Must be able to work all shifts. Full time employment: however, 40-hours is not guaranteed per- week. Working hours; must be able to be flexible, start time and end time will be dependent on flight schedule and or overall tasking. Working Conditions: * Ability to lift up to 50lbs. * Constant use of visual, speech, and hearing abilities for communication and documentation. * Mental alertness, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. * Ability to work under changing conditions. * Ability to meet physical requirements for the position. * Must be able to handle and dispose of hazardous materials as required.
