M1 is looking for an Aircrew Survival Flight Equipment (ASFE) I to work with and maintain aircraft survival and flight equipment, including helmets, harness assemblies, life rafts, survival kits, oxygen masks, and emergency signaling devices. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for disassembling, repairing, testing, troubleshooting, modifying, and ensuring the serviceability of various aviation safety equipment. This role requires proficiency in mechanical and electrical repair, as well as knowledge of pyrotechnics, explosives, and aircraft egress systems. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Operate and maintain survival and flight equipment. * Conduct operational and circuit checks of survival radios, beacons, and other emergency signaling/communication devices. * Demonstrate and explain proper usage and operation of survival equipment. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Maintain compliance with M1's quality policy. * Adhere to all operational, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent. * A completed "A" School for Aircrew Survival Equipment (PR). * ALSS Configuration Management Course (C-555-0056) * Minimum of three (3) years of recent O or I-level experience with H-60S/R/F/H aircraft. * Knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair, pyrotechnics, explosives, and aircraft egress systems. * Prior US Navy experience in aircraft maintenance and repair preferred. * Proof of completed "A" School for Aircrew Survival Equipment (PR). * Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC). * Successful completion of a US Government background check (Tier -3 background investigation). * Must have a valid state driver's license. * Ability to work with diverse cultures. * Ordnance certification shall be required to obtain. * Must be able to work all shifts. Full time employment: however, 40-hours is not guaranteed per- week. Working hours; must be able to be flexible, start time and end time will be dependent on flight schedule and or overall tasking Working Conditions: * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * This position requires kneeling, standing, walking, sitting, and using speech/hearing for communication. * Constant mental alertness and ability to meet deadlines while working under pressure. * Ability to meet physical exam requirements for the position. * Must be able to handle and dispose of hazardous materials as required.
