Job Summary

The Pediatric Trauma Clinical Information Analysts (PTCIA) primary role is to serve as an integral member of the pediatric trauma team working to improve care for injured children through data acquisition and evaluation.  They are responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data elements for the Pediatric Trauma Quality Improvement Program (PTQIP), National Trauma Data Bank and C. S. Mott Childrens Hospital Pediatric Trauma Program registry eligible cases as required for continued Level I Pediatric Trauma Verification by the American College of Surgeons (ACS).  The PTCIA will work collaboratively with the trauma medical director, trauma program manager and trauma team to monitor the programs Quality Improvement activities.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
