Job Description
Assist financial aid coordinator in all financial aid functions and provide quality customer service to all internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree, and related work experience required. Previous financial aid experience or similar work experience preferred. Must possess initiative, sound decision making and problem-solving skills and have high attention to detail. Strong computer skills are necessary. The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships, work independently, and use discretion in handling information is essential. Must have strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A firm commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Salary Range Starting at: $19.50 hourly
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a receptionist for the Financial Aid Office. Answer the telephone and assist students with scheduling appointments, filling out forms, general questions, etc.
