This is a Full-Time Salaried Day Shift position at Scripps Mercy San Diego campus in the community of Hillcrest.

Our critical-care nurses working at Scripps Health Mercy San Diego, is a team of skilled medical professionals who provide superior health services in a caring environment. The Scripps Health team is dedicated to making a positive, measurable difference in the health of individuals in the communities we serve. Our ICU has high acuity cases in medical, surgical, medical-cardiac, cardiothoracic-surgical, respiratory, neuro-trauma and trauma. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Adult ICU RN experience in addition to 1 year of clinical leadership experience. The Supervisor role includes a combination of Charge Nurse and Administrative duties while working a combination of 12 and 8 hour shifts.

* Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.
* Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans.
* Ensures appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology and adherence to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge.
* Ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.

Required Qualifications:
* Registered Nursing Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing
* Two (2) years Adult ICU RN experience
* One (1) year of Clinical Leadership experience
* Current CA State RN license
* American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certification
* Have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate positive behaviors
* Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English

Preferred Qualifications:
* One (1) year of ICU RN experience in a Level I Trauma Hospital
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
* AACN Certification
