Essential Job Duties

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Website Content Editor for a temporary (less than 6 months), fully remote role. The primary focus will be updating and optimizing existing websites and developing a new one, ensuring both meet departmental goals, university style guidelines, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in WordPress, SEO tools like Yoast, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with IT specialists.

  • Website Content Editing: Update and optimize existing content for clarity, consistency, and alignment with departmental objectives.
  • Website Development: Build and structure new website content to support ease of ongoing updates by non-technical users.
  • SEO Optimization: Enhance site performance using tools like Yoast to improve search engine rankings and drive traffic.
  • User Experience: Design websites to reduce user inquiries by ensuring content is intuitive, accessible, and answers common questions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with university IT specialists to align with technical and institutional requirements.
  • Enrollment Support: Ensure websites effectively promote departmental online courses to drive enrollment.
