Event Support Assistant
Job Description
EVENT SUPPORT ASSISTANT, Campus Activities Complex (CAC), to provide administrative support and serve as the primary point of contact for the managing space inquiries, reservations, and receptionist duties; deliver outstanding customer service; support a diverse clientele, including students, staff, faculty, and external guests; ensure a smooth and efficient process for space reservations and event logistics, contributing to a vibrant and engaging campus experience; collaborate with Institute and Division of Student Life (DSL) departments to support programs, events, and initiatives that enrich campus life; act as a resource for information on campus events, event locations, and CAC-managed space availability; coordinate the scheduling of weddings and similar events in the Chapel; program access cards for CAC-managed spaces; and oversee mascot-related programming and staffing. In collaboration with the Student Organization, Leadership, and Engagement (SOLE) Office and the Hobby Shop, this role is an integral member of the Student Engagement and Campus Activities team.

Job Requirements:REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of three years direct or related experience; ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team; solid customer service, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; detail-oriented, effective active listening skills; ability to maintain a positive customer service attitude while managing frequent interruptions; and experience multitasking in a fast-paced office environment. PREFERRED: Associate or bachelor’s degree; proficiency with computers; or familiarity with event processes and Mazevo software. Job #24703-5
Hourly rate: $27.00 - $32.00, depending on relevant experience.
