Job Description

OPERATIONS ASSISTANT, Career Advising and Professional Development (CAPD), to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Director and Employer Relations Associate Director of CAPD. This role involves a variety of tasks including job and internship postings, helping with user accounts, coordinating employer/student activities, generating and reviewing recruiting data for monthly/annual reports, maintaining data consistency and accuracy, and coordinating on-campus and virtual recruiting events, including room reservations and invoicing employers.  This position supports employer engagement events, career fairs, and sponsorship programs; assists with communications and website content, provides administrative support, including phone/email management, scheduling, and customer service, coordinates the executive director’s calendar, travel, correspondence, and meeting materials, assists with financial management, including reconciling purchases and visitor travel arrangements, maintains confidential student records and supports office operations as needed.  Full Job Description is available here: https://capd.mit.edu/staff-hiring/

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED: High School diploma or equivalent, three years of administrative assistant or related experience, excellent communication skills, organizational ability, attention to detail, customer service skills, willingness to learn, ability to prioritize client needs, and reliability are essential. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; basic knowledge of or desire to learn database software.  

Salary range: $27-$30 per hour based on experience; 35 hours per week

A hybrid schedule, with both remote and on-campus work, is available. 

Occasional evening and weekend work will be required
