Hourly range for Registered Nurses $40.18-$62.31/ hour
   Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
   Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
   Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour
   Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour
   Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
   Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Responsibilities*

?       We seek highly qualified candidates who will provide compassionate care to adult patient populations in the Medical Procedures Units at Brighton Center Specialty Care. 

?       Candidates should be enthusiastic and patient-oriented individuals interested in creating the ideal experience for our patients, families, and employees, reporting directly to a Nursing Supervisor. 

?       Candidates should be able to provide nursing care to patients receiving Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Anesthesia Pain procedures, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Pain procedures.

?   

?       Candidates will coordinate nursing care between the pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases, which may include directing other registered nurses, endoscopy technicians, and ancillary health care staff. 

?       Under the direction of a Charge Nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor, the candidate may function in the endo tech role, which includes supporting procedures, preparing readiness of procedure room, assisting with biopsies and other interventions, and room turnover per infection prevention policy.

?       Candidates will administer sedation/analgesia under the direction of a physician. 

?       Candidates will be required to wear a lead apron for an extended period. 

?       Candidates will assess and document hemodynamic status during sedation and post-procedure phases.  Initiates and maintains peripheral intravenous lines. 

?       Candidate should be able to provide patient and family-centered education and discharge teaching based on learning needs.

Supervision Received From: Direction is received from the Senior Nursing Director and Supervisors for Ambulatory MPU sites.

Supervision Exercised: Functional supervision may be exercised over Registered Nurses Level A - F, LPN's, Techs, Service/Maintenance, and other support staff.

 

Nursing Specific Info

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.

Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period. Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

Desired Qualifications*

Work Schedule

?       Hours/week: 70 hours per pay period; 10-hour shifts; 30 hours one week and 40 hours the second week.

?       Shift: Day/Evening shift; Monday-Saturday; 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

?       Flexibility in scheduling is required.

       May need to float to either unit (BCSC MPU or EAAMPC) during a scheduling period based on either of the units' staffing needs.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
