Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Audio Visual AutoCAD Supervisor will oversee the AutoCAD and Audio Visual areas for the Facilities Department.
Directs and monitors audio visual productions for Facilities.
Supervises the AutoCAD Department and ensures the archives are properly maintained.
In addition, ensures end-users are properly trained and provided the required resources to allow for effective use of related software.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensure that production CAD support is provided Develop, implement and enforce CAD Standards.
Oversee technical support for all CAD software.
Manage support for plotting and electronic files submissions.
Direct interaction on project standards coordination with project managers and clients.
Design and develop training of in-house CAD users.
Supervise training of CAD users.
Ensure CAD document archives are accurate and available to end users.
Develop customization of CAD programs.
Ensure that CAD software is properly maintained.
Oversee the maintenance of server.
Manage the new hardware and ensure the configuration and set-up.
Ensure that project archives are maintained.
Manage technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration.
Ensure high-quality services.
Manage the development of team by ensuring that project tasks are in line with each member's career interests when possible.
Recruit, select, train, and supervise AutoCAD and Audio Visual employees.
Direct equipment installations, purchases, replacements and repairs.
Design and develop training and standard operating procedure manuals.
Oversee the maintenance and operation of Event Management Systems (EMS).
Monitor the operation of the signage system.
Ensure the maintenance of all facility signage both electrical and paper.
Ensure effective communications with HCC customers, contract staff, executive and support staff, data center personnel, hardware and software vendor support services, and IT staff Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Management, Design Technology, Drafting or related field is required
- Minimum 5 years of work-related skills, knowledge or experience
- Knowledge or experience, through work experience, in AutoCAD or Audio Visual is required
Licensing & Certification
- Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
