Job Description Summary
The School of Business Administration at Oakland University seeks to fill a one-year visiting faculty position in finance starting August 15, 2025. The person who fills this position will likely teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, and might be expected to assist the department chair with administrative activities. Class sizes are moderate. Summer teaching is available. The salary is competitive and the fringe benefits are excellent. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate the potential to be effective in teaching. Relevant professional and/or industry experience is also desirable. Applicants must also demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work for the University in the United States on a full-time basis. The University will not sponsor work visas or permanent resident applications for this position.

 

Minimum Qualifications
A Ph.D. in finance or related areas from an accredited AACSB International school. Applicants with advanced ABD status or a master’s degree in finance or related areas (including MBA) will also be considered.

The diversity statement should describe the candidate’s interests or efforts in furthering diversity and inclusion, e.g., through mentoring, pedagogy, activism, or research on issues related to diversity and social inequality. The search committee will start reviewing applications on March 15, 2025 and continue the review process until the position is filled.
