Under the leadership of the Trades Technology Program Director, the Lineworker Program Coordinator will manage all elements of the day-to-day operation of the Lineworker Program and Electrical department. They coordinate the overall planning and implementation of the Lineworker Program as well as assisting with the operations of the Electrical Technology Department. This includes overseeing instruction for the Lineworker Program and Electrical department including scheduling faculty and courses, providing leadership, planning program marketing, and maintaining relationships with external agencies, advisory committees, and industry partners. Responsibilities will include professional interaction with utility companies and agencies to determine training needs, desired training outcomes, and program content priorities to continue maintaining required program outcomes according to energy utility standards. The coordinator will also have responsibility for organizing the Lineworker Program application process, maintaining and monitoring student database, scheduling student attendance at utility company activities, maintain pole-yard operation, and organize adjunct lineworker program faculty. They are responsible for monitoring and maintenance of the Lineworker and Electrical equipment, labs, and training facilities as well as ensuring supplies are on hand for all course and college needs. Additionally, this position includes managing student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and coordination, supply ordering, and budget compliance.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university OR Associates’ Degree and two (2) years’ related experience.

Experience in one or more of the following:

  • Personnel management
  • Budget management
  • Recruitment
  • Project management
  • Event planning or organization.

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience in curriculum development or design.

Possess a State of Michigan Commercial Driver’s License.

Experience in the utility industry
