Education and Outreach Coordinator
Job Description
EDUCATION AND OUTREACH COORDINATOR, Plasma Science and Fusion Center (PSFC), to coordinate outreach commitments (K-12, undergraduate and graduate), and support communications projects; work with the PSFC Deputy Director to create new educational opportunities for K-12 and undergraduate students at the PSFC; manage a federally funded grant that supports educational outreach; develop original content, including writing and reviewing collateral and coordinating events and campaigns; and contribute to and implement communications activities in support of communications objectives and strategies.

Job Requirements:REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, or STEM field; a minimum of three years of outreach, education and/or communications experience; passion about STEM education; enjoy working with students of all ages in a variety of settings; solid writing, editing, and communication skills; ability to create engaging educational programming for in-person and virtual audiences; ability to work independently while also excelling with a team; and fluency in social media content creation and management. PREFERRED: Fluency with InDesign, Illustrator, or similar; and experience managing Drupal/Wordpress platforms. Job #24626-7
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000, based on related experience and expertise.
Hybrid schedule with 3-4 days/week in the office. Some occasional evening and/or weekend work will be required.
Willingness and ability to travel to conferences is required.
