As a cyber threat specialist on our team, you'll be trusted to guide customers through tabletop cyber risk assessments, ultimately evaluating their risk to mission. You will leverage architectural diagrams, device configurations, current cybersecurity threats, and intelligence reports to evaluate vulnerabilities and work with multiple stakeholders to determine final risk. You will make impactful mitigation recommendations and present results to key stakeholders.

In this role, you'll ensure the success of DoN missions by identifying vulnerabilities before they can be exploited to protect U.S. Navy assets, systems, and Warfighters.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with tabletop cybersecurity risk assessments, including DoD cyber tabletop, TMCRAs, MRAP-C, or CAKE
  • Experience with the practical application of the NIST 800-30 methodologies and processes for conducting risk assessments and identifying vulnerabilities
  • Experience with network analysis, vulnerability, and library discovery tools
  • Experience developing remediation steps, mitigations, and after-action reports to articulate technical findings into actionable items for non-technical audiences
  • Experience working within operating system environments and complex networking concepts
  • Knowledge of Navy networks and communications
  • Knowledge of the functionality and capabilities of computer network defense technologies, including router ACLs, firewalls, IDS and IPS, antivirus, and web content filtering
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8140 Compliant Certification within 30 days of hire

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with operational DoD or Navy cybersecurity networks and C4I systems
  • Experience briefing to senior-level clients and stakeholders
  • Experience with commercial cybersecurity and networking products and industry tools
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CEH, OSCP, GPEN, or GWAPT, or CISSP certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
