Development Assistant II, Development Planning and Initiatives (DPI)

Job Description

DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT II, Development Planning and Initiatives (DPI), provides high level administrative support to the Director, Strategic Initiatives and Market Insights, including managing calendaring, making travel arrangements, preparing and distributing meeting materials and briefings, attending team meetings and capturing notes, and preparing expense reports; and plays a critical role in facilitating the work of the Strategic Initiatives and Market Insights unit within DPI working collaboratively with peers in the office to ensure smooth and coordinated administrative and operational support.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of three years of administrative, office, or related experience; wide-ranging knowledge of office procedures and excellent administrative skills including advanced scheduling and calendar and travel management; a flexible approach focused on end results; the ability to remove barriers and build positive working relationships; a proactive approach to problem solving and execution, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and discretion; attention to grammar, spelling, accuracy, format, tone, and confidentiality in communication; robust computer skills, including email and calendar tools, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn new technical skills quickly; ability to independently organize, prioritize, and carry out detailed procedures in a busy office setting with minimal supervision. PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree.

This is a part-time, 20 hours/week, one-year term position. This is a hybrid position with a combination of on-campus and remote work. Job #24605-5
