Are you passionate about solving complex IT challenges, whether it's troubleshooting systems, analyzing data, or driving technical innovations?

 

Are you interested in exploring different domains within the IT industry such as network engineering, application development, system administration, and cyber security? 

 

If you are a recent or soon-to-be BS/MS graduate with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and a passion for tackling critical challenges, we’d love to have you join our team!

 

We are ranked as one of Computerworld's Top Places to Work in IT six years running and are seeking dynamic and passionate early career technical staff members to join THRIVE, a one-year rotational IT program. The program offers recent graduates a unique opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience across multiple IT disciplines. You will develop your skills while exploring a variety of professional interests, applying innovative solutions to the nation’s critical challenges, collaborating with experts, and building a strong foundation for your career. Upon completing the rotation, with mutual agreement, staff members will have the opportunity to choose the area in which they wish to focus their career.

Disciplines we commonly hire and example technical areas:

  • Network Engineering: Design and implement secure and robust network solutions.
  • Application Development: Create cutting-edge applications that support our mission-critical operations.
  • System Administration: Manage and optimize our IT infrastructure for peak performance.
  • Cyber Security: Protect our systems from cyber threats and ensure data integrity.
  • Help Desk Support: Provide top-tier technical support to our staff and contribute to user satisfaction.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have a BS/MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Have engaged in multiple internships, research experiences, or projects outside of the classroom.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have demonstrated excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Thrive in a learning environment and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Are able to obtain Top Secret level security clearance. If selected, you may be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.


Minimum Rate

$85,000 Annually

Maximum Rate

$150,000 Annually
