KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director to join our Finance and Accounting organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the individual income tax compliance, tax counseling, tax projections, tax notices and other financial related support for the partners of the firm
- Review work papers, tax returns and related work products prepared by staff members for accuracy and conformity with tax law and documentation standards
- Manage high volume client load with minimum supervision in addition to managing one or more projects throughout the year
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of recent progressive experience preparing federal and state individual tax returns for clients, preferably within a professional services environment
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in business, finance, or accounting
- Strong technical skills in the following areas: High Net-Worth Individuals, Partnership and Multi-State Taxation Theory
- Excellent written and verbal communication and research skills; able to work well in a team environment and/or independently
- Solid client management skills, ability to gain the confidence of the client and communicate complex tax matters in a manner client can understand
- Licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent required
