This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Greenwich Drive and remote.

DESCRIPTION

UC San Diego Health seeks a Systems Integration Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support integration development work.

The Systems Integration BSA will work collaboratively with technical and functional resources, system owners, consultants, and vendor contacts to define and document detailed integration mapping requirements and solutions for multiple system integrations. The Systems Integration BSA will support subsequent project phases including testing and training support activities related to project implementations.

Activities:

  • Participate in all project phases, including driving technical requirements collection, integration mapping, fit/gap, system integration build, testing, training prep, and stabilization.
  • Design and develop APIs that enable data exchange and functionality between multiple systems.
  • Work with vendor contacts to lead integration requirement sessions with business stakeholders and system owners to document and translate integration specifications into effective technical solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to technical design, technical system configuration, integration architecture, flow diagrams, and technical business processes.
  • Work with data warehouse team to map reporting needs.
  • Serve as liaison between functional, technical, and vendor resources on integration related issues.
  • Support testing activities, including writing integrations test cases, mocking up files for testing, and executing testing.
  • Advise stakeholders on options, risks, and cross-functional impacts on other processes or upstream/downstream systems.
  • Provide training and support to business and system users on new processes.
  • Report clear status to project management, including priorities, issues, and risks promptly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training. Related experience: Data integration experience in a SaaS / technical environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with API management, middleware, and other integration technologies (e.g., MuleSoft, Epic FHIR, HL7, etc.)

  • Experience across a range of integration approaches, including EDI, API, JSON, XML, and flat file integration

  • Advanced skills associated with system integration design, modification, implementation and deployment in a complex environment

  • A strong facilitator who can work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gain operational knowledge at a detailed level quickly

  • Experience with identification and use of code libraries and open-source forums

  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in work product

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical resources

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic environment

  • Experience with documenting technical requirements, design specifications, and test cases

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision

  • Familiarity with analytical tools, such as spreadsheets, business intelligence applications, and SQL

  • Strong understanding of application development lifecycle and best practices

  • Experience working in a large, complex healthcare setting

  • Boomi Professional Developer certification

  • Knowledge of UC IT policies and procedures

  • Experience with timekeeping or nurse scheduling system integrations

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $94,400 - $176,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $45.21 - $84.67

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
