DESCRIPTION

The Neonatal RT Supervisor oversees both Hillcrest and JMC locations and is responsible for implementing quality, education, and clinical practice plans for a highly specialized team. The position works collaboratively with Neonatology, Education, Nursing, and Lab to ensure staff who care of the neonatal population are practicing in alignment with the established evidence-based care, evolving research, and best practices.

The RT supervisor supports the Neonatal RT Manager in the specialized programs and processes including: oversight of the Neonatal Blood Gas Lab and program; collaboration/coordination of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program for OB, NICU, nurses, providers, residents, and emergency medicine residents; management of the specialized ventilator fleet; and the management and the training of the EEG monitoring system for neonates. This role includes a high volume of education of new staff, senior staff, to meet quality and regulatory inspections.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration or related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of California.

  • Five (5) or more years of relevant neonatal experience.

  • Experience and proven success in clinical respiratory care operations, industry technology and equipment, neonatal respiratory care experience, experience in attending high risk deliveries.

  • Ability to apply principles to an acute care setting to ensure respiratory program meet standards and regulations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Clinical specialty certification.
  • Three (3) or more years of demonstrated leadership experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $104,900 - $198,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $50.24 - $95.26

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
