Program Manager

Job Description

PROGRAM MANAGER, Civil and Environmental Engineering, will foster an ecosystem of individual excellence and cross-cutting collaboration within the MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub (CSHub) team and with sponsors and stakeholders; be responsible for a wide range of activities spanning administration, finance, compliance, communications, and outreach; work with CSHub leadership and principal investigators to review, evaluate, and approve project schedules, plans, and proposals; develop and implement operational plans and systems to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently; manage and coordinate across a broad range of students, researchers and CSHub staff; lead fundraising and recruitment efforts 40% of the time to ensure the long-term success of the program; play a strategic role in the annual budget process, analyzing short and long-term budget needs; prepare and present program documentation, evaluation and reporting, or review reporting developed by others; present reports to senior leadership analyzing key metrics and trends and outlining recommended actions; and serve as a public face to the program, presenting technical and non-technical content at meetings and events as needed.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least five years of experience in project management; and experience in communication in scientific communities and settings. PREFERRED: a degree in an engineering or scientific discipline; PhD; and expertise in working with a sustainability and resilience research team. Job #24520-10
