Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Education - High School Diploma
- Experience - Two (2) years of appropriate office experience.
- Skills - Proficiency in typing; ability to communicate effectively both oral and in writing; knowledge in the use of computer software.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for clerical and other counseling department detail; responsible for processing confidential student information with discretion and accuracy especially as it pertains to critical information such as private health and mental health care matters; responsible for clerical duties pertaining to health science programs consideration and enrollment; assists in the coordination of college freshman orientations, walk-in registrations and pre-registration sessions; provides back up support for the freshman health sciences group orientations/pre-registration sessions and Act 101 program as needed; selects and runs pre-registration notification for current students; utilizes communication management system to process the assigning of advisors, counselors, welcome correspondence; appointments and orientation sessions of freshman re-admissions and transfer students for the counseling department; informs students about programs, entrance criteria, and maintenance for continued participation including verification of student past balance information and obtains clearance for registration; prepares and tracks incoming new student files and new acceptances for counselor evaluations; pulls data from within appropriate software for advisor review as necessary; maintains filing system for accurate information storage and retrieval on current students; maintains and tracks student early alert/referrals; entry of individual and group contacts and responses; provide back up support for accessibility services regarding CORE program; manages absentee reports for department; Provide back-up to enter testing dates in workbench for all campuses; disseminates academic materials to faculty and students for the purpose of faculty advisement; sorts and routes incoming mail, files correspondence and other records; greets visitors, ascertains nature of business and provides appropriate direction based on student need; places outgoing calls and schedules appointments; interview, train and supervise work study students; requisition office supplies, printing materials and any needed maintenance of office space.
Entry Salary: $27,300
Standard Work Week: 35 hours - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
