Assistant Professor of Finance
Job Description
Responsibilities: Prepare and teach undergraduate finance courses including the areas of sustainability, impact finance, green investing, CSR (corporate social responsibility), or ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance). Advise and mentor undergraduate students. Evaluate and assess students’ academic performance, grade assignments and papers. Develop and refine curriculum. Collaborate with members of the business community to improve current programs, to develop new programs, and to provide student access to learning opportunities such as internships. Conduct scholarly research, attend professional meetings, and participate in professional organizations or academic conferences to maintain competency in the academic field. Provide service to the department, university, and community in line with the university’s mission.
Educ./experience: PhD degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance or related field plus two 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Teaching Assistant, Graduate Assistant, or in a related position. Experience must include working with large datasets including financial databases: WRDS, CRSP, Compustat, S&P Capital IQ, TRACE, eMAXX, and Shark Repellent; Programming languages Python, SAS, STATA; Teaching experience in financial subjects including Investment Analysis, Financial Management, and Valuation.
