We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and motivated leader to serve as a liaison between our sponsors at Eglin Air Force Base and APL on how Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis can be used to inform system requirements, develop, and evaluate concepts of employment, and design trade studies in support of program execution priorities.
We are a large team of 50+ engineers, physicists, mathematicians, and computer scientists who perform analysis to drive acquisition decisions on important precision strike technologies. As a Senior Operations Analyst…
- You will provide technical recommendations to support our sponsors, guide analytical capability development and integration, and facilitate collaboration with analysts at APL
- You will perform evaluation of precision strike systems’ effectiveness using an assortment of analysis tools, both individually and with team members. Your assessments will uncover useful data, inform meaningful conclusions, and support government decision-making
Qualifications
You will meet our minimum qualification for the job if you…
- Have a BS degree in a technical or scientific field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science
- Have demonstrated ability to engage effectively with military and civilian leaders
- Have demonstrated excellence performing strike warfare mission-level analysis
- Have excellent leadership skills for multi-disciplinary technical teams, organization, and planning
- Have strong initiative, motivation, and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks
- Are skilled in conducting quantitative analysis, learning new and exciting concepts, and effectively communicating sophisticated ideas to a variety of partners
- Hold an active Top Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship

- Have an MS or PhD in one of the scientific or technical fields listed above
- Have experience using AFSIM
- Have familiarity with Python, MATLAB, C/C++, FORTRAN or JAVA
- Have an active Top-Secret security clearance

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development. $90,000 Annually
Maximum Rate
$330,000 Annually
