Lead Researcher, Policy Impacts

Job Description

LEAD RESEARCHER, POLICY IMPACTS, Economics, to conduct economic analysis on the welfare impacts of government policies. Will be part of Policy Impacts, an organization co-founded by Professor Hendren that is dedicated to improving the quality of government decision-making by promoting standardization in policy analysis and will work closely with them and a range of collaborators at other universities along with a research team of pre-doctoral fellows based at MIT.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED: PhD in economics, education, public policy, political science, computer science, or a related field; eight years of relevant experience; demonstrated track record of conducting microeconomic analysis and measuring the welfare impact of government policies using a public economic toolkit; and robust management, communication, and technical skills. The position is based at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA.

This is a full time one-year appointment that is renewable annually. An employment term of at least two years is strongly preferred.

The salary range for this position is $150,000-$175,525 and will likely start on the lower end of this range.
