Duties and Responsibilities
    • Handles procurement activities for all auxiliary services units. Process and monitor all requisitions, purchase orders to ensure proper procedures in all expenditures.
    • Coordinates activities of contractors for renovations for auxiliary services units. This includes electrical, plumbing, furniture and equipment.
    • Performs daily quality control inspections of dining operations and conference and event services spaces and issues reports of findings.
    • Performs weekly inspection of the student center interior and exterior and issues reports of findings.
    • Schedules major repairs for auxiliary services operations including the student center, dining services, the bookstore and vending operations.
    • Oversees the licensing program and maintains the contracts with licensing vendors.
    • Manages and participates in the installation of food service equipment. Oversee equipment inventory and schedules preventative maintenance and repairs.
    • Serves as the campus liaison between departments of the university and FedEx Office to respond to inquiries and provide information and advice for contract printing services.
    • Serves as the campus liaison between departments of the university and FedEx Shipping to respond to inquiries and provide information and advice for contract shipping services.
    • Processes campus printing projects destined for Maryland Correctional Enterprises (MCE) for letterhead, business cards and envelopes. Provides guidance and advice for complex print jobs to ensure quick turnaround for correspondence and print services.
    • Services as point of contact for coordinating any new installation, modifications in equipment and all service related issues for the ATM machine.
    • Serves as the campus contact with soft drink and snack vendor for operational concerns. Maintain claims and refunds to customer; handle customer inquiries and complaints.
    • Produce financial reports monthly as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

 

 
Minimum Qualifications

 

Education
  • A college degree in business administration or a related field is required.
Experience
    • Five years of office experience preferred.
    • Procurement experience is preferred.
    • Prior experience in higher education is a plus.

 

 
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Successful candidate must possess working knowledge of procurement rules and regulations. He/she should be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively operate software including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, internet and PeopleSoft Financial. The candidate is required to have the ability to effectively deal with deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment, track transaction, and resolve disputes and to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. He/she should be detailed oriented wit well-developed planning, organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing are addition requirements of the position.
