We are seeking outstanding physicians to join the Division of Emergency Medicine at our main San Diego campus and satellite location in Murrieta, CA.
Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego (RCHSD) is a 524-bed level 1 Trauma Center and serves as the region's primary and tertiary pediatric hospital and the clinical home of the UCSD Department of Pediatrics. RCHSD has been named by U.S. News & World Report to its 2023-2024 Best Children's Hospitals Honor Roll. The Division is committed to excelling in clinical care, teaching, research, quality improvement, community service, global health, and physician wellness.
The Division consists of 50 PEM attending physicians, 3 pediatricians, 16 Urgent Care pediatricians, and 5 allied health professionals providing the vast majority of pediatric emergency care for San Diego County. The main campus ED has a census of 103,000+ visits per year, with 16,000+ per year at our satellite location. Four pediatric urgent care centers have a combined census of ~42,000 visits per year.
The PEM Division supports a flourishing ACGME-accredited PEM fellowship, and a POCUS fellowship, and is the training site for over 200 residents from multiple programs, UCSD medical students, and PA students. Faculty provide high-quality training and teaching to these learners.
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality training and teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows and providing clinical care to patients.
The appropriate series and appointment will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
