Job Description Summary
The Santa Fe College Little School provides early learning experiences and care for children ages 1-5 years. The Little School is a Teacher Training Site for Early Childhood Education students, as well as a research and observation site for students in other fields of study who are learning to work effectively with young children.Job Description
The Little School is seeking Educational Aides with a positive attitude, welcoming body language, enthusiasm for helping children learn, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide tender loving care and educational experiences for children of a designated age between 1-5 years.
- Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Director, Little School
Qualifications
Required: The Educational Aide must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours. A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred: Early Childhood Education major OR experience working in an Early Learning Center with children ages 1-5 years.
General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
- Communication - able to effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner using preferred method and level as applicable to the job.
