What you will do...

In partnership with the HR director, leads or supports HR functions and initiatives areas across all geographic locations to ensure effective alignment of people and business strategies. Supports and guides functional leaders to align business objectives and execute specific strategies in employee relations, talent acquisition, policy and compliance, compensation, benefits, as well as training and development.

** This is an on-site role that works out of Mount Joy, PA or Lamar, MO. **

In a typical day the Human Resources (HR) Manager will...

  • Partners with Director of HR to develop and implement HR strategies that align and support the functional strategy with the business strategy. Serves as an advisor/coach, facilitates change management, and supports the development of HR initiatives and metrics to drive organizational growth.
  • Manages the talent acquisition strategy for full cycle recruiting including talent assessment. Uses online tools and social media in collaboration with Marketing to recruit candidates and develop a branding strategy. Establishes business partnerships with hiring managers to clearly understand hiring needs and job specifications. Determines recruitment strategies to efficiently fill roles in a timely manner. Manages outside recruiting resources.
  • Manages HR compliance processes including EEO-1 reporting and ensures that all compliance information is current and accurate. Maintains current knowledge of multi-state compliance and regulatory HR requirements.
  • Ensures company compliance with regulatory agencies as well as federal and state laws. Develops, updates, and publishes policies in areas of responsibilities as needed and ensures training of management and employees.
  • Supports activities for compensation practices and process. Conducts research and recommends merit increases based on relevant data. Keeps job descriptions up to date and prices positions as needed.
  • Works with key functional leaders on career progression, training & development, and promotional opportunities.
  • Assists the Director of HR with managing company benefit programs to deliver an attractive benefits package at a reasonable cost to the company and the employee. Supports the annual renewal and open enrollment process and assists with overall management of the benefit plans.
  • Engages and coaches department leaders and staff on employee relations issues and employee counseling. Evaluates and supports employee engagement strategies.
  • Supports other HR initiatives and performs other duties as needed.

The Human Resources (HR) Manager will bring to the role...

Education & Experience (required unless noted otherwise):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in HR management or combination of HR management with strong HR generalist experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification required
  • Manufacturing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication, organization, facilitation, and influencing skills working collaboratively across all departments
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to find solutions to problems leveraging existing HRMS and other databases
  • Multi-site responsibility with demonstrated ability to flex support and effectively manage various stakeholders
  • Must be able to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information
  • Must be highly functional in MS Office and HRMS, Paylocity experience preferred
  • Ability to travel by plane and car no less than 2 times per quarter.

Work Environment

  • Must be available to work primarily in the office with travel to the company’s sites as required.
  • Work is primarily performed indoors in an environmentally controlled setting.
  • Requires some work in manufacturing and warehousing areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $102,000.00 - $118,000.00 per year
