PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree or doctorate in math. Teaching experience in higher education.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the Mission of the College and the departmental mission and goals. Provide excellence in teaching and learning through a variety of instructional methods and use of relevant technology. Maintain knowledge of new developments in one’s respective discipline. Analyze program data to determine gaps in student performance, enrollment, retention, etc. Use data to make informed decisions. Keep the administration informed about matters affecting the welfare of students, faculty, and the institution. Attend local, state, and national meetings geared toward andragogy, the academic discipline, enrollment and retention, student support resources, etc. Keep the program’s curriculum competitive and up to date. Actively recruit at least 5 CE or CU students per semester (fall/spring). Participate in collegewide committees and functions. Recommend the purchase of library books and instructional materials. Teach assigned classes according to approved course syllabi and minimum competencies. Schedule, post, and keep office hours as required by college policy. Assist with advising and registering students. Assist, as needed, in developing a schedule for all coursework each enrollment period. Advise students in their program area and maintain an up-to-date advisee record for all active advisees. Submit all required student grade reports to the registrar’s office by the specified deadline. Maintain accurate attendance records for all classes. Work with students in extracurricular activities including clubs and special events. Attend all faculty meetings, commencements, and other special meetings called by academic administration and the College President. Perform other duties as assigned.

SALARY:
Salary commensurate with education and work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, paid annual and sick leave, and the State of North Carolina Benefits Program.
