Human Resources Professional - Human Resources - $22.02/Hr

Closing Date: 07/01/2024

FT 40 Hr/wk Provides support to the Human Resources department in the areas of recruitment and compliance. Responsibilities include: tracking and posting job opportunities internally and externally to job and college websites, tracking applicant resumes, screening resumes for hiring managers, making contingent and post offers, conducting applicant background checks, coordinating new hire start date with newly hired employees and Unit Directors, and coordinating onboarding with the Training Director.

Worksite: Norwich

Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tracks and posts job opportunities with the approval of the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
  • Tracks applicant resumes per EEO & Agency guidelines and screens them for the hiring supervisors
  • Makes contingent job offers with approval from the CHRO
  • Conducts staff credential verifications, reference checks, background checks, and referrals for drug screens
  • Coordinates Per Diem hiring
  • Coordinates start dates with New Hires, Professional Development Director, and Unit Directors
  • Conducts new hire payroll orientation and designated new hire orientation sessions
  • Completes I-9 verification sections
  • Coordinates regret letters, post offer letters, and closes applicant files
  • Conducts credential verifications, reference inquiries, and background checks
  • Updates and maintains accurate personnel records
  • Assists in monthly Human Resources project lists
  • Provides data for Human Resources reporting as needed
  • Assists in planning Human Resources sponsored events
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times
  • Engages in continuous concerted efforts to access, obtain, and respond to pertinent Agency information/communication, and disseminates as appropriate
  • Provides working conditions that maximize safety for staff and program participants 
  • Other responsibilities of Reliance Health staff, such as participation in Agency events, adhering to Agency Policies and procedures, training requirements, etc. 
  • Performs duties while demonstrating Agency Core Competencies and Values

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years previous work experience in Human Resources required
  • HR related certification preferred
  • Valid CT Driver’s License, vehicle registration and insurance 
  • Good driving record
