The Department of Accounting in the Poole College of Management is home to faculty specializing in the areas of audit, taxation, managerial accounting, financial accounting, and information systems. Faculty work closely with our centers and initiatives including the Enterprise Risk Management initiative.

Essential Job Duties
The Department of Accounting is accepting applications for the position of Non-Tenure Track Faculty Lecturer (part-time) in the Accounting area. Non-Tenure Track Faculty positions are one-semester or one-year, with the possibility of renewal. Applications will remain on file for one year should openings arise in subsequent semesters.
Successful candidates will teach 1 to 3 courses for the BSA (Bachelor of Science in Accounting), MAC (Masters of Accounting) and/or MBA (Masters of Business Administration).
Teaching is in one of the following areas: accounting information systems, auditing, business/data analytics, business law, financial accounting, intermediate accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and not for profit/government accounting.
Teaching locations include our main campus in Raleigh, the Research Triangle Park (RTP) MBA campus, and the potential for summer school and study abroad courses. Some courses may be taught online.
Specific hiring needs for the upcoming academic year have yet to be determined.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Requires a master’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional or teaching experience related to the teaching assignment
Other Required Qualifications
- Excellent teaching ability.
- A commitment to the success of students and programs at the University.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certification (CPA for example) and experience teaching at the college, university or community college level.
- The ability to teach in more than one area.
- Experience teaching and developing online courses.
