We are seeking a motivated Intern to act as the liaison for communication between the Tokyo marketing/engineering group and U.S. marketing team to share common practices. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Japanese, possess strong analytical and communication skills, including PowerPoint and Excel presentations. This role is essential for sharing common practices and ensuring seamless collaboration between US and Tokyo and at times may include working across global time zones with flexible hours.

This role will report to San Diego and have hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Data/feedback collection and analysis across digital programs (RSI, Tech Creators, Community Form/VIP).

  • Gather relevant data/feedback from various sources, both internal and external (Community Forum members, LTV, Creators/Influencers).

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can support decision-making processes and share with BU/Tokyo members.

  • Utilize PowerPoint and Excel to conduct presentations to Tokyo to share findings and learning discoveries.

  • Liaison of Tokyo marketing/engineer group communication for U.S. marketing activity practice sharing as 1st line.

Communication:

  • Share collected data and analytical insights with the Engineering and Business Unit teams in a clear and concise manner.

  • Translate technical documents and communications from Japanese to English and vice versa to facilitate smooth collaboration between teams.

Feedback Coordination:

  • Collect feedback from various stakeholders, including engineers and internal program managers.

  • Compile and organize feedback to ensure all relevant information is communicated effectively to the engineering team.

  • Market and customer research and analysis at retail touchpoints.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records for weekly Plan Do Check Act meetings as well as other key discussions (data sources, analysis methods, and feedback collected).

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to summarize findings and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Japanese and English.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $18 to $25. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual hourly rate offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
