About the Department

The mission of the NC State Department of Athletics is to prepare student-
athletes to compete at the highest level and to inspire them to be leaders
now and for the future by providing the best environment to achieve their
athletic, academic and personal aspirations as well as providing support for
the professional development of our coaches and staff, all within the role of
the greater institutional relationships to the University. This position will
serve as the Assistant Director for Game Operations for North Carolina State
University Athletic Department which competes as a NCAA Division I team in
the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Essential Job Duties

This position will serve as the Director for Game Operations for North Carolina State University Athletic Department which competes as a NCAA Division I team in the Atlantic Coast Conference. This person will work closely with the Assistant AD for Operations regarding event and game management responsibilities for all NC State athletics events.

Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Plan and organize tasks related to event and game operations.
  • Work all home football games and assist with game operations.
  • Serve as the game day manager for assigned Olympic Sports.
  • Assist with game-day operations for all varsity sports at North Carolina State University.
  • Assist with operations for NCAA and ACC postseason events.
  • Ensure NCAA and ACC compliance.
  • Interface with game day officials, teams, coaches, administrators, ACC & NCAA, representatives, administrators, and other affiliated groups with the University.
  • Assist with planning and coordination of special events within the University or with outside groups to be held at Athletic facilities.
  • Complete projects, initiatives, and duties, as assigned by Administrators.

Other Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned by Administration.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum of three years experience in athletic game-day operations at NCAA Division 1 level
  • Experience working with or managing student and/or game day staff
  • Experience in a customer service capacity

Other Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Adobe programs or other creative tools
  • Candidates must possess excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity within a structured environment and the ability to work non-traditional hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred.
