A temporary Technical Assistant is needed to assist with completing work on a funded federal grant assessing genetic markers of bee health.  The incumbent must be able to independently design, conduct and analyze experimental results.

Relevant hands-on laboratory experience(>700 hours)
Bachelor’s Degree with a major in molecular biology or biotechnology

 -Molecular biology skills including DNA/RNA isolation and quantification, qPCR, lib preparation
- Ability to analyze data and prepare summaries – Excellent oral and written communication 
- Excellent organizational skills with a good attention to detail 
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
 - Accurate record keeping skills 

 In addition, preference may be given to applicants with postgraduate degree(s) in molecular biology, especially with a concentration in forensic science.
