Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Recruitment & Communications, the Enrollment Coach is responsible for front desk assistance, conducting walk-in consultations and regular call campaigns to prospective students, event assistance, and potential on- or off-campus professional presentations about RVCC admissions and resources.

Essential Duties:

Provide counseling/guidance to prospective students throughout the admission process though walk-in consultations in the Student Enrollment Center on Mondays through Fridays between 11:00am and 3:00pm.

Assist with activities related to the admission and retention of recruited students throughout the enrollment process at the front desk and on- or off-campus events as needed.

Conduct professional presentations to prospective students and community groups on- or off-campus to provide information about the College with a strong focus on the Free Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG), Financial Aid, RVCC Scholarships, the Rewards Program, and NJ Stars.

Using the capacity of the Banner system designs, implement communication plans to maintain recruiting contact with prospective students, and track individual cohort yields. Also implement tracking systems using those plans to generate a maximum yield.

Responsible for community outreach to high schools, businesses and community organizations to provide information about the College.

Utilize data to determine and target key demographic markets.

Establish communication with all target markets utilizing Communications Resource Management (CRM) tools, face-to-face and virtual meetings, Live Chat, email, phone calls, mailers, social media, texting, etc.

Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with campus departments through collaborative programming and serving on appropriate task forces and committees. Inform faculty and staff about upcoming recruiting events and solicit their participation.

Encourage and maintain enthusiasm, commitment, and teamwork within the Admissions & Recruitment Department.

Perform all other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:


Associate's degree required.

Prior experience that involved the delivery of information to a diverse population in person, electronically and via the phone and the development and delivery of professional presentations/speeches.

Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, CRMs, and prior exposure to a database system; ability to create standard documents and reports.

Proficient organizational skills and attention to detail, specifically constituent relationship management, and excellent interpersonal communications skills required with strong verbal and written skills.

Must possess a vehicle and valid driver's license in good standing and willingness to travel within an assigned territory.

Work hours vary at different times of the year. Some evening and weekend hours required based on events and peak recruitment season.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual - English/Spanish.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Previous experience in recruitment, admissions guidance, or a related area is preferred.


Additional Information:


Responsible for representing the College at evening and weekend events.

Requires sitting, standing, bending, kneeling and/or crouching, walking, and climbing.

Looking at and utilizing dual computer monitors.

Occasionally move and lift up to 50 pounds.

General Office Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:30 am - 5 pm
