Location: Camp Fire Resource Center, 2700 Meacham Blvd Fort Worth 76137
In-Person/Virtual: Hybrid option M-F (2 days in office/3 remote)
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
FLSA Status: Exempt
Full/Part-Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Regular/Temporary: Regular
Compensation Package: $50,000 - $55,000 annually
Employer-paid benefits package include 80% for employee and 20% for dependents
on medical, 50% on dental and vision for employee, 100% for employee short term
and long-term disability, 100% for life insurance of 2x annual salary, and 401(k)
retirement savings plan including a company match. Paid time off starting at 22 days
per calendar year, 1 floating holiday, 7 paid holidays, and December break (1 week).
Employee paid supplemental benefits available.

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a talented and professional Human Resource (HR) Specialist to join our team.
The HR Specialist will play a key role in the organization by providing comprehensive HR support and services to our
employees, ensuring employees’ needs are met while aligning with company goals and policies. This role is responsible
for the day-to-day operations of HR, including finding ways to improve and streamline processes. This position offers a
unique opportunity to be involved in various aspects of HR, with the ability to be innovative. The successful candidate
will be self-driven and passionate about providing the highest level of quality and support to all employees. To excel in
this role, you should be an excellent communicator, with in-depth knowledge of the HR processes and procedures.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
HR Administration
Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Update HR standard operating procedures (SOP).
Create, implement, and evaluate all human resource department
policies and procedures as needed.
Support managers in all HR related areas, including HR policies,
employment practices, guidelines, systems, and processes.
Develop and implement HR systems, goals and objectives.
Manage relationship with PEO provider and serve as liaison.
Serve as subject matter expert on PEO platform.
Provide HR templates, tools, and resources to staff as needed.
Manage benefit enrollment process.
Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions.
Keep personnel documentation up-to-date and confidential.
Conduct criminal background and reference checks.
Manage unemployment and workers compensation claims.
Monitor holiday calendar, PTO balances and time off policies.
Facilitate leave of absence requests to PEO provider and oversee
process.
Update employee changes in HR system and manage workflow process.
Modernize processes via technology and best practices.
Stay current with employment laws and FLSA changes.
Manage manager and HR checklists for onboarding and offboarding.
Special projects as needed.
Talent Acquisition
Manage the new hire and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and
positive experience.
Post all open job postings through PEO platform and other sites as
needed.
Communicate updates to candidates when positions are filled/closed.
Collaborate with hiring managers on recruiting tools.
Provide compensation analysis reports as needed.
Coordinate with Marketing team on staff changes and job postings.
Employee Relations Assist employees with HR related questions (benefits, payroll, policies,
procedures, etc.)
Advise and support managers regarding appropriate resolution of
employee relation issues such as disciplinary actions, terminations,
promotions, etc.
Handle employee complaint and investigation process.
Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations,
and investigations.
Prepare HR related communications to staff as needed.
Partner with COO on matters related to organizational culture and
programs to help improve the employee experience.
Manage employee recognition and rewards programs.
Build credible and trusting relationships with all levels of employees to
help facilitate effective employee communications and relations.

Training and Development
Coordinate employee goals and performance review process.
Identify training needs and assist in the design and delivery of HR related
training programs.
Serve as subject matter expert on training material and resources
provided by PEO provider and Camp Fire National.
Explain human resources policies, standards, and procedures to
employees to ensure compliance.
Provide policy and procedure training as needed.
Oversee budget for organization training and development.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
3+ years’ experience in Human Resource functions, experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree human resources or equivalent experience (5 years).
Experience working with a Professional Employment Organization a plus.
Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
Ability to create and build fillable forms in Adobe.
Experience with modernizing processes and utilizing technology resources.
