Island Harvest is seeking a part-time Human Resources Generalist to assist the Chief Human Resources Office in all aspects of our Human Resources department.

 

Responsibilities include:

· Assist in developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.

· Utilize various recruitment outlets such as online job boards, social media platforms, and networking events to attract qualified candidates.

· Screen resumes and applications and conducts initial phone screens.

· Perform telephone reference checks as needed.

· Assist with onboarding new hires. Collects and reviews all new hire paperwork to ensure all required documents are completed, signed, and accurate.

· Process all background checks. Arranges for all required drug testing.

· Assist with payroll and 403(b) processing.

· Stay current on all federal and state regulations concerning employment.

· Maintain all personnel files.

· Provide general administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer as needed.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

· Three years of Human Resources Generalist experience, including a demonstrated ability to source and screen candidates required. Non-profit experience is preferred.

· Proficient experience in Microsoft Office (all programs)

· Proficient with recruitment tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed and Handshake.

· Knowledge of ADP Total Source is a plus.

 

 

Schedule:

· 20 – 25 hours per week. Schedule is flexible.
