Sr. Research Associate - Antibody Development (Hybridoma)

Job Summary
This person would be responsible for developing monoclonal and/or polyclonal antibodies in BioLegend derived from immunized animals by performing antigen preparation, host immunization, bleed analysis, cell fusion, and small-scale antibody purification. Techniques involved in this job include antigen formulation, animal immunization and tissue harvesting, cell culture, cell fusion, and antibody analysis using ELISA, WB, and other related techniques.
He or She will need to perform project coordination and lead communications with other functional teams across the BioLegend assigned by the manager. In addition, troubleshooting and inventory work will be expected to support the team.

Tissue Culture Function
- Perform cell culture activities including thawing, maintenance, freezing with sterile technique
- Perform hybridoma fusion
- Perform ELISA, WB, and flowcytometry analysis
- Work across the teams to support changing priorities
- Maintain lab supplies
- Enforce lab safety and GLP
Immunization function
- Perform antigen formulation and rodent immunization
- Rodent bleeding and serum collection
Purification Function
- Conduct purification of antibodies
- Update databases as needed
- Work across the teams to support changing priorities
- Maintain lab supplies
- Enforce lab safety and GLP
- Leadership function
- Technical lead to support Jr. lab members
- Project coordination assigned by the manager
- Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience
- B.S. with generally more than 8 years of relevant working experience OR
- M.S. with generally 6 years of relevant working experience in antibody development.
Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience
- Mammalian cell culture and cell line maintenance, experience with hybridoma culture is a plus;
- Basic knowledge of immunology including but not limited to antibody and antigen interaction;
- Rodent handling, injection, and serum collection experience;
- Antibody purification;
- With previous experience of antibody development, ELISA, and WB is a plus;
- Work well in a team environment
The base salary range for this full-time position is $35.00 - 40.00/Hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.
