Community Counseling & Mediation ("CCM") works to improve the lives of at-risk children and families through innovative behavioral health, supportive housing, education, and youth services.
Our expanding network of licensed outpatient mental health and chemical dependence clinics, award-winning housing facilities, HIV and hepatitis prevention and care coordination, and after-school and child-welfare programs, utilize evidence-based, culturally competent practices to achieve positive outcomes and keep families together.
Position Overview:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Community Counseling & Mediation is responsible for providing visionary leadership and overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations to advance its mission and objectives. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO leads strategic planning, manages overall operations, communicates with stakeholders, and ensures the organization's growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Act as the figurative head of the organization when communicating with stockholders, government entities, and the general public.
- Lead the development of the organization’s long- and short-term strategies in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
Operational Oversight:
- Manage overall operations and make major decisions affecting the organization.
- Oversee the management of the organization’s resources, including budgeting and financial management.
- Negotiate or approve agreements and contracts for the organization.
- Manage the organization’s organizational structure to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Board Relations:
- Communicate regularly with the board of directors, providing updates and seeking guidance as needed.
- Consult with Board Members on administrative matters and seek their input on strategic decisions.
Risk Management:
- Assess and minimize risks to the origination, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Goal Setting and Leadership:
- Set strategic goals and objectives to drive the organization forward.
- Provide organization-wide leadership, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Serve as the organization primary spokesperson, representing its interests to external stakeholders.
Problem Identification and Culture Development:
- Identify and address organization-wide problems, implementing effective solutions.
- Develop and uphold the organization’s culture, values, and mission/vision.
Program Development and Quality Assurance:
- Work collaboratively with the Development Department to identify opportunities for program expansion and improvement.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients and stakeholders through oversight of quality control aspects within the organization.
- Implement processes to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Strategic Plan Implementation and Evaluation:
- Implement strategic plans by collaborating with senior leadership across departments.
- Evaluate and track the success of the organization in reaching its goals, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure continued progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nonprofit management, social work, public administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Substantial experience working in social work, behavioral health, housing, or education fields.
- Demonstrated experience with program evaluation, quality improvement, and outcome measurement in nonprofit settings.
- Experience in leadership, preferably within organizations focused on behavioral health, supportive housing, education, or youth services.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets, grants, and fundraising efforts to support programmatic goals.
- Strong knowledge of relevant policies, systems, and funding streams related to mental health, housing, and education.
- Proven strategic planning and execution skills with a track record of driving organizational growth and impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of inspiring and motivating teams, engaging stakeholders, and building partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, funders, government agencies, and community partners.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $175,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
