Senior Program Manager

Job Description

SUMMARY
Plan, direct and coordinate projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished within the prescribed
timeframe and funding parameters. The Senior Program Manager will act as a customer liaison to facilitate on
time delivery of planned new program initiatives, operations for Job Training and Workforce Training programs
as assigned by the Dean or Associate Dean of Workforce Training, and to ensure compliance with federal
financial aid, veterans services, and assessment activities for non-credit programs.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
● Consults with leadership and reviews non-credit program class schedules, room assignments, and
  project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing
  project, staffing requirements and allotment of resources.
● Develops project plans specifying: goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, contingency plans and allocation
  of available resources in partnership with the Associate Dean and Dean.
● Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
● Trains staff and faculty on topics related to assessment, compliance for non-credit financial aid,
  veterans’ services and workforce program funding.
● Establishes standards and procedures for program and project reporting and documentation.
● Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules and plans as required.
● Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients and other informed of project status and
  related issues.
● Confers with workforce faculty and staff to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
● Develops business processes that ensure developed application meets all project requirements.
● Develops and maintains technical and project documentation. Coordinates the collection, compilation
  and analysis or program data; develops, write and presents comprehensive (statistical and narrative)
  program reports.
● Coordinates project activities with marketing/outreach, sales, operations, customer support, and client
  staff to ensure goals and requirements are met.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education Credentials
● Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts, Communication, Career Technical Education or Business required.
  Master’s degree preferred.
● Project Management certification is preferred.
  Work Experience
● 3-5 years’ experience working in business field, higher education, or career technical education.
● Technology experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Google products, experience using high education
  enterprise systems is preferred.

  Working Conditions
● GRCC will comply with any mandated health and safety requirements. Compliance information is

● Some schedule flexibility is needed to attend events or activities. Regular attendance during normal
  scheduled hours 80% of the time. There is the opportunity for some schedule flexibility to meet work
  needs.
