Are you what we are looking for in a Preschool Teacher?
We are seeking an experienced, qualified Massachusetts EEC Certified Preschool Teacher who is energetic and a loving individual who wants to work with preschoolers. This position is full time working Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Generous competitive benefits are available.
What are you going to do as a Preschool Teacher?
- The Preschool Teacher will provide love and quality care for the children in your care while promoting social, physical, verbal and cognitive development.
- Take direction from administration and work well with others.
- The Preschool Teacher will build relationships with students, families and co-workers by creating a dynamic environment where play and learning happens.
- Create a fun, safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and play.
What do we require for our Preschool Teacher?
- You are encouraged to be fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
- You will need to be certified through MA Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) in the Preschool age group.
- The Preschool Teacher will need to have experience working with preschoolers.
- Have a positive and patient demeanor and love working with these children who want to discover the world!
- Of course we need you to be flexible, reliable and trustworthy.
- The Preschool Teacher will be required to submit consent for a thorough background check, (Massachusetts CORI) and fingerprinting.
- You must complete required training upon hire and maintain compliance with all Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations.
- Proof of your MMR immunization.
- Physical within the last 12 months.
What educational requirements do you need to have as a Preschool Teacher?
- We would prefer you to hold an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (or closely related field) or be working towards one.
- The Preschool Teacher must be certified within MA Dept of EEC in Preschool ages.
Bright Futures Early Learning Center (BFELC) is an affiliate of the Mason Wright Foundation, which also operates Mason Wright Senior Living and Colony Care at Home. We are a nonprofit providing affordable childcare and we are located in the Mason Wright Senior Living building at 74 Walnut Street in Springfield since 1999. We became an official part of the Mason Wright family in 2017, when we formed Bright Futures Early Learning Center and since then we have been growing steadily.
What is unique about Bright Futures? Our children and our Mason Wright senior residents participate together regularly in activities, providing an extra and very special way for the different generations to interact, learn and grow together. We provide a place of exploration, imagination and learning. We are also a place that is nurturing and playful, in an environment that is consistent and with clear boundaries.
